For the first couple of times your Hudl 2 is turned on after the Lollipop update you can expect dramatically increased start up times. The start up time can increase to around half an hour in some cases. During this time you will only see the Hudl name and a pulsating star on the screen.

This can be especially true if your device had many apps and games installed before the upgrade and is also true if your device was low on storage.

The Hudl 2 will still be optimising the apps and clearing down some temporary files. Normal start up times will resume after the first couple of restarts.

Start times will always be longer since upgrading to Lollipop due to your Hudl 2 being encrypted for security.

If your Hudl 2 goes to a blank screen instead of starting up, clearing the cache partitionshould resolve the start up problem.
